Jesus is the center of our worship at Messiah. God desires our worship and it brings us together in community. Most of our members have come via relocation, from all over the United States and beyond. Some are life-long Lutherans, some from different denominations and some with little or no church experience. Where ever you are in your spiritual journey, you are welcome at Messiah.
Our congregation strives for everyone to be a follower of Jesus. The pattern of being a follower of Jesus can be summed up with “UP,” “IN” and “OUT.” UP refers to one’s relationship with God, IN refers to being in Jesus’ community and OUT refers to going out into the world humbly serving in Christ’s name.
Focusing “UPward,” our worship, music, praise, and prayer renews, energizes, and strengthens us in our walk. Our worship includes traditional music, mixed musical offerings, choirs, handbells, reading of scripture, proclamation of God’s Word and celebration of Holy Communion, all in the context of a growing multi-generational congregation.
Focusing “INward” we seek to advance our spiritual journey through a strengthened relationship with the Creator in fellowship with others; we learn, study the Bible, socialize, exercise our talents and gifts, and our financial support.
“OUTward” focus reaches into community and world around us; care for others in times of life crisis, reach the hungry, help the helpless, provide prayer and emotional support for those hurting or in need, all in Christ’s name. We share our love and the love of Jesus the Christ to young families and to warmly welcome all visitors and seekers.
