Skidaway Island Community Hunger Walk – Savannah, GA
We again bring awareness to the hunger needs of Coastal Georgia. In 2018, we will walk to support America’s Second Harvest. All money pledged by those walking will be given to America’s Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia
When is the Hunger Walk
Sunday, March 18th starting at noon, we begin walking. Walkers have an option to walk 1, 2.4 or 2.8 mile routes. We begin at Messiah Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall. 1 West Ridge Rd., kitty corner from Publix.
Who can participate
Any one who can walk, be in a stroller or be pulled in a wagon is invited to join in. It is a great way for families to share the experience of giving to the community. There is exercise and social time for all Skidaway Island residents (and beyond). We encourage you to invite family, friends, golfing buddies and neighbors to join in.
How can I donate
Checks can be made to Messiah Lutheran Church or made out directly to America’s Second Harvest. Bring it to the walk or if you can’t walk, drop it at church.
What else do I need to know
Light refreshments will be served following the walk.
The Walk for 2018 has been completed. Watch for future dates in 2019. Walk Coordinator :Lynn McLauchlan at [email protected]
