Rising Star Arts at Messiah

Nineteen year old Canadian born Jaeden Izik-Dzurko is earning a reputation as an exceptional young artist with a sensitive touch and thoughtful interpretations. Jaeden is a student at the Juilliard School.
Jaeden has distinguished himself in provincial, national, and international competitions. He was recommended to the Performing Arts British Columbia (BC) Provincial Competition over seven consecutive years, winning seven categories along the way. In each of his final two years of provincial competition, he was chosen to represent BC at the Federation of Canadian Music Festivals (FCMF) National Competition. His Canadian competition achievements reached their pinnacle in 2016, when he won the Grand Award at the FCMF’s National Competition. International success followed in 2017, as he reached the finals of the Morningside Music Bridge International Concerto Competition held at the New England Conservatory and later earned the Peter Takács Classical Sonata award and Third Prize at the 2017 Hilton Head International Piano Competition.
He has performed as a soloist with the Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra, the Kamloops Symphony, the Lions Gate Sinfonia, and the Okanagan Symphony Orchestra, and has collaborated with both local and international instrumentalists, vocalists, and chamber ensembles.
The recital will feature works by Bach, Schumann, Scriabin, and Rachmaninoff. There is no admission and no reservations or tickets are needed. Donations gladly accepted to help defray costs. For more information, please call (912) 598-1188 weekday mornings.
