All Saints Sunday
November 6 @ 9:00 am - 10:00 am
Each year on the first Sunday in November, we observe All Saints Sunday, a day to give thanks for those who have completed their life on this earth and are now in heaven with God. All of God’s people are saints, which means “holy ones.”
There will be three ways worshippers can remember beloved family or friends.
- First, everyone is invited to bring a picture(s) or deceased loved ones and place them on the Sanctuary windowsills.
- Second, we will provide large post-it notes for people to write the names of loved ones and put them on the walls of the sanctuary. This is a way to demonstrate the verse in Hebrews 2:1 “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us…”.
- Finally, we will be distributing index cards for worshippers to put names of loved ones on cards to be read in a special prayer during worship.
